Attending a Country & Vintage wedding?

'Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory"

Vintage is the time that something of quality was produced. Give yourself a quality style if you're attending a vintage wedding. Vintage you have to treat like boho chic, with delicacy and elegance. You don’t want to go too over the top, but you still want to have that vintage feel. Vintage could be free-spirited, dropped waist silhouettes of the 1920s, the draping and clever cutting of the 1940s, or the full circle skirts of the 1950s.

The most commonly thought of style for a vintage/country wedding would be the 50s style. You can choose either a dress or separates, consisting of a skirt and top. Large tulle skirts would make a statement entrance, but very pretty at the same time. A-line shapes, pleated skirts, structured skater and princess style skirts are a wedding must. Blouses paired with a skirt, sweetheart neckline and halterneck styles are classic necklines when wearing vintage. Choosing the length of your dress is a no brainer, go midi every time, traditional and most appropriate. The best thing about the 50s is the flattering silhouette, taking you in at the waist and fanning out, creates a stunning hourglass.

If it is an outside wedding, make sure you are prepared, even if it is in Summer season bring along a blazer, jacket or little shrug, because unless you are in the Bahamas it is going to get chilly. Floral prints will add to the innocence and elegance of the occasion. Pastel shades are on trend for this Spring/Summer, they are perfect because you can match any pastel colour together and it just works! Keep the jewellery minimal as your outfit will be doing all the talking!

Victory Rolls is the style to use, if you are really wanting that vintage edge. Back combed pony tails are also gorgeous, up do's you will find are the most popular with this image, it also means that hair is out of your way, especially if it is windy. Ringlet curls are another alternative, very cute and elegant. Winged eyeliner is very important, eyeliner on fleek is what it is about. Use either a nude lipstick or a bright red lip, pink blush to add to your already pretty attire. Get inspiration from celebrities embracing their vintage vibes, Dita Von Teese has a beautiful vintage style.
