"A sweet ending, to a new beginning"
When attending the evening event, you have less to worry about really. By the time the evening guests arrive everybody is already half cut anyway. The luxury of attending the night do means, you can turn up the outfit notch a little, add a sassy print or go glam with diamonds. No white rule still applies, but black is debatable! Dresses aren't for everyone so a jumpsuit is definitely an option, if it is chosen correctly.
The important stuff is out of the way, so now it is time to party. If you're attending a garden party or barn wedding then you will definitely need to remember a jacket.
So to break it down, what do you not wear to an evening wedding do? Lets start with colour, definitely do not wear a white dress, you can not steal the lime light from the bride. Do not wear a short, short dress, actually avoid shorts as well, you might be celebrating but remember respective, conservative and appropriate applies at weddings. Say no to backless if you need to wear a bra, it is not a great look showing your bra at the back. Loud and wild prints are a no no, again you do not want to distract the attention away from the blushing bride and the dashing groom. Avoid dresses that look like you are about to go clubbing, revealing belly buttons and loads of sparkle and stay away from denim of any sort.
