What not to wear to the office!

What not to wear to the office!

Summer is coming!

Work attire can become a little confusing when we are approaching hotter days. What is, and what isn't appropriate for the work place? What not to wear is what we should be looking at, to avoid any embarrassing and uncomfortable situations at work.

A big no no goes to crop tops, plunging necklines, open back or other skin-bearing clothing. Save these styles for the weekend. Anything sheer should not be worn, it may be warm but nobody should be able to see your bra through your top. Choose cotton or linen clothing, over sheer clothes these are just as lightweight, and comfortable for the office.

Halter tops are very summery and flattering, however they aren't suitable for the office, avoid tops that do not require a bra. Anything strapless avoid, if unavoidable then add a blazer, or cardigan, so you're not exposing too much skin. Sleeveless tops are acceptable in warmer months for women, but keep a jacket on hand for meetings. A big one to be aware of is wearing a top that is longer than your shorts, it is not a good look to appear like you have forgotten to put trousers on. In other words do not wear booty shorts.

Swerve super mini-skirts or dresses, hemlines should be no shorter than just above the knee. Anything shorter than this again, should be kept for a weekend. Keep it classy exposing only a little bit of skin. Footwear is a tricky one because everyone loves putting a pair of flip flops on, they're so comfy and easy. Flip flops are the epitome of casual though, which instantly makes them inappropriate for work. If you dropped something on your foot, it would not be ideal.

We Hope this helps, and adds a little less panic to your mornings!
